Safe routes to school funding application

The Safe Routes to School funding application is now available online through Michigan's Electronic Grants Administration and Management System (EGrAMS). All schools must use EGrAMS when applying for Safe Routes to School funding.

To get started with EGrAMS, do the following:

1) Go to the EGrAMS website.

2) Determine if your school is registered in EGrAMS:

If your IS school registered, go to step 4.

If your school IS NOT registered, go to step 3.

If you don't know if your school is registered, you can look it up by using the Parent Agency look-up box in EGrAMS. Schools that registered their SR2S program with the Michigan Fitness Foundation prior to December 2008 are already registered in EGrAMS.

3) Register your agency ("agency" refers to your school in this case). Be sure to click on the link named  "Set relation with Grantor Agencies" and select the Michigan Department of Transportation.

4) Create a User Profile. Be sure to click on the link named "Setup your Roles for Grantor Agencies" and select "Grantee".

5) Login with your new user name and password.

Supplemental budget pages for EGrAMS users:

Please read the instructions and complete the appropriate supplementary budget page for EACH item proposed for funding. For example, if you are requesting funding for three separate engineering projects on you Action Plan, you will need to fill out an engineering budget page for each. If you are requesting funding for two education programs, you will need to fill out education budget pages for each, etc.

Once completed, the budget pages should be attached to EGrAMS using the "supporting documentation" feature.
