Completion and return of the registration form represents a commitment on the part of the requestor to begin a Safe Routes to School program at his or her school, and to complete a Safe Routes to School action plan which will identify interventions both short and long term, in prioritized order, that focus on education, encouragement, enforcement and engineering.

The commitment is affirmed by the school via the signature of the principal on the registration form.
